The Welsh capital welcomes metal royalty on Sunday as part of the M72 World Tour. Here’s all the essential information

Cardiff is one of just three British cities that will be graced by the presence of metal icons Metallica this summer. The M72 World Tour is in the Welsh capital this weekend for a ‘one night only’ show with support from the unmissable Gojira and Knocked Loose.
The M72 Tour was in Glasgow last Thursday and will head to London for two shows next week. James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and co are at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, the biggest venue in Wales.

The thrash metal legends are in Cardiff on Sunday June 28 2026.
Gates open on Sunday at 3.30pm.
So far on the M72 Tour Metallica have started the main set at around 8pm. Given the Cardiff date is on a Sunday with an earlier gates and curfew, expect the band on at around 7.30pm.
