Thirty years after their legendary gigs, there’s fierce speculation that the Gallagher brothers will return to Knebworth

Can you believe that it’s been an entire year since the Gallagher brothers kicked off their monumental comeback tour? After a 16-year wait, the shows were just as euphoric as we imagined and, of course, fans were left craving more.
Even before Oasis concluded their 2025 world tour, we’ve been hopeful that Oasis would bless us second reunion tour. Speculation was particularly spurred on when Liam, at the end of the band’s final Wembley gig, teased the crowd with a ‘see you next year,’ then pretended to slap himself on the wrist for letting the news slip.
Liam has dropped several more hints to fuel the rumours in the months since, but now we might have the most compelling evidence yet that a another reunion is on its way. Here’s everything we know about a potential Oasis tour in 2027.
As we said, rumours of another Oasis tour have been swirling for the past 12 months. The latest update has come from Manchester Evening News, which says that a number of sources close to the Manchester City FC and promoters have hinted at a major residency at the Etihad next year.
Word on the grapevine is that the 2027 tour could include a huge 12-night homecoming residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in May and June. A source close to Manchester City FC said that there are talks of boosting that up to 20 nights.
MEN was told by a separate source that a luxury city centre hotel has been entirely booked out from the end of May through June for the arrival of the band and their touring entourage.
Adding fuel to the fire, Manchester festival Parklife recently changed its dates and in 2027 will be held in July instead of June for the very first time. Fans reckon the shift is to avoid a clash with the Oasis gigs.
This year is 30 years since Oasis’s historic and record-smashing gigs at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire. So it feels only right that their next tour should see them go back there. Indeed, the same source reportedly confirmed to MEN that ‘the wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth’.
There have been rumours that the brother’s tour will include a show at Celtic Park in Glasgow.
While he was in Italy back in April a fan asked Liam Gallagher if he would be in ‘Roma next year’. He replied: ‘Without a doubt. 100 percent’, sparking speculation of a reunion tour across Europe. There are also reports that the band is considering a show at Slane Castle in Ireland, which they’ve played before in 1995 and 2009.
Nope, so far none of the rumours have been confirmed. For now, all of the above is hearsay but insiders say that an official announcement could happen in the coming weeks.
If the tour is confirmed, Manchester Evening News said that tickets are likely to go on sale this summer or early autumn.
Should the rumours turn out to be true, we imagine tickets will be a similar price to the last tour. In 2025, standard tickets ranged from £73 to £206 (not including those impacted by dynamic pricing).
