You don’t know what you’ve been missing until you stay in a hotel with top-tier hospitality. From the concierge and room service to the staffing in restaurants and bars, once you stay somewhere with faultless service, you never look at lesser hotels the same way again.

But which of the world’s many, many hotels boasts the finest hospitality right now? Well, the World’s 50 Best Hotels list has named its choice by dishing out the Art of Hospitality Award at its inaugural ceremony last night (September 20) in London

The winner of the Art of Hospitality Award went to… Gleneagles in Scotland! That’s right, the world’s finest hospitality is to be found right here in the UK. One of the country’s most famous resorts, Gleneagles sits among rolling glens and boasts everything from a two-Michelin-starred restaurant to a world-renowned golf course.

According to World’s 50 Best Hotels, what sets Gleneagles apart from its competitors all over the world is its sense of local pride, as well as the passion of those who work there. Many of those who work at Gleneagles have generational ties to the institution, which opened all the way back in 1924. The resort also boasts a huge array of activities, including salmon fishing on the River Tay and falconry.

Here is another pic of the hotel.
