Attention Potterheads: While you’re twiddling your thumbs for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie to be released this November, and maybe looking at what wizardry you need to get tickets to the stage show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II in London’s West End this summer (it premieres July 30), there’s even more news for you to be excited over: the play and its script will be released as a book (in hardcover and eBook) on July 31. (Yes, at 12:01am, for those of you who can’t wait a single second.)

Pottermore, the global digital publisher of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, is considering the book the eighth book in the Harry Potter series, taking place 19 years later, and featuring an adult Harry (a father!).

J.K. Rowling wrote the original new story with Jack Thorne (who wrote the play’s script) and John Tiffany. The first release is the Special Rehearsal Edition, and it’s worth noting there will be a second release later on, a Definitive Collector’s Edition, which will integrate changes to the play and script after performances in front of a live audience take place.

So even though you probably won't get tickets to the play in London (let's be real here), at least you won't miss out on a single thing happening in Harry's world.
