The new Marvel movie coming out just under two months from now may have Captain America's name on it, but the new trailer released today shows that it's basically the next Avengers sequel. Captain America: Civil War, based on a 2006 Marvel Comics crossover event, finds Cap and Iron Man leading opposing factions in a fight over government oversight of superheroes. (In the comics, Congress passes the Superhuman Registration Act after blame for a disaster in Stamford, Connecticut, is laid at the feet of a young team of heroes called the New Warriors.)

Chris Evans's Captain America might have less screen time in the new trailer than Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, who figures to be the hinge on which the movie's version of the conflict turns. But then it's hard to glean much about the plot from the two-minute collection of clips, which feels more intent on teasing its raft of characters than explaining why they're punching each other. There's Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie's Falcon, Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, plus the Vision, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, even Ant-Man. Oh, and then at the end: Tom Holland's prepubescent-sounding Spider-Man finally enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a satisfying thwip.
