Recreate the most epic constructions of your childhood at the LEG0-themed Brick Bar coming to San Francisco this weekend. Best of all you can play while tippling (but hopefully not toppling — the tower or yourself).

The not-officially-associated-with-LEGO bar is made up of one million oversized bricks arranged into sculptural splendors such as a wishing well and a throne to lounge in for Instagrammable moments. There are also loose bricks for you to create your own rockets, castles, Star Wars characters and other feats of imagination.

Prebook a 90-minute session to engage in building competitions (yes, there will be prizes), wade through a ball pit (sounds painful), and play ping-pong at a table made out of 22,000 bricks. A DJ plays music to accompany your foray into childhood flashbacks.

It all goes down at The Mint. This ornate Doric-columned building known as the Granite Lady is where coins were once pressed. Opened in 1874, it survived the 1906 earthquake, at which time it held one third of the nation’s gold reserves ($300 million in bullion: now those are bricks you want to work with).

Tickets are $22 and you must reserve in advance. For any of the slots after 6pm, you must be 21+ to attend. For the earlier slots beginning at 11 am on Saturday, children 5 and under are free.

The best part? These bricks are so big your mama won’t yell at you when she steps on one.
