Booking flights is rarely enjoyable. Often, it's kind of stressful. Especially if you're planning ahead, your bank account may not always align with your travel calendar. And while credit cards can help with travel budgeting, a new feature may be the right fit for some trying to pace out how they pay for airline tickets.

Avelo Airlines announced a new partnership with PayPal to create more payment options for fliers on their aircraft. Avelo will be the first U.S. airline to feature PayPal Pay in 4 for travelers booking directly with the airline. Here's how it works: eligible customers can break up purchases between $30 – $1,500 into four interest-free payments due every two weeks, with the first payment due at the time of purchase and the last due six weeks after purchase.

“Every journey starts with booking a trip, and our first-of-its-kind collaboration with PayPal is going to make purchasing your next Avelo flight smoother and simpler than ever," said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO. "PayPal’s Pay in 4 zero-interest flexible payment product makes it easier and more affordable to take advantage of our industry-leading reliability and experience our Soul of Service on an Avelo flight.”

Avelo Airlines is newer to the market. Since debuting in April 2021, the U.S.-based airline has expanded from California to the East Coast, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, often flying into secondary airports (like Burbank, CA), to help travelers save money. Aiming to be America's most convenient airline, Avelo has flown over 3.5 million Customers on over 27,000 flights to 44 destinations in 23 states on its fleet of 16 Boeing 737 aircraft.
