We can almost guarantee that this will surprise you: The most popular jelly bean flavor in America is buttered popcorn. Yes, bizarre.

CandyStore.com scoured through "jelly bean sales data from the last 10 years and SurveyMonkey and Facebook polls of over 12,000 candy customers and followers" to come up with the ranking of the most popular flavors in each state and the most deeply loved one nationwide.

Last year's winner, black licorice, fell down to the second nation-wide spot but is still the preferred variety of the candy in Alaska, Colorado, North Dakota, Minnesota, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and New Jersey.
