The third season of 'Interview with a Vampire' puts Lestat front and center in his own story of rock stardom.

There’s nothing as messy as a vampire romance. The drama, the thirstiness, the sheer pettiness and horrific lengths they go to to get back at each other makes for a juicy watch.
Two years after the premiere of Interview with a Vampire season 2, we’re finally getting a follow-up to Anne Rice’s lovers-to-haters story with a third season called The Vampire Lestat. We’re getting more Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) and it’s going to be a deliciously bumpy ride.
To hype everyone up, AMC and Lakeshore Records have been rolling out the red carpet for Lestat by releasing original singles from the show on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. You can listen to them now: “All Fall Down,” “Long Face” and “Dancing With Myself” (a cover of the Billy Idol song) all performed by Reid. Even more exciting, Reid will perform the songs as Lestat for one night only at NYC’s Beacon Theatre.
“Lights Down. Volume Up. Fangs Out,” reads the concert listing. “On the final stop of the band’s decadent North American tour, The Vampire Lestat transforms the Beacon Theatre into a cathedral of chaos. The night kicks off with the exclusive premiere screening of The Vampire Lestat—your first hit of the myth, the menace, and the music. Then the one and only Lestat de Lioncourt hits the stage. In full rock‑god form, Lestat unleashes a live musical performance soaked in swagger, spectacle, and immortal excess. This is part screening, part concert, part temptation—designed to shake the walls and leave the faithful wanting more. One night. No restraint.”
So without further ado, let us jump into what you need to know ahead of the new season’s release and forthcoming concert!
The show premieres on June 7.
Weekly on Sundays.
Yes, The Vampire Lestat is the third season of AMC’s Interview with a Vampire. The showrunners decided to re-title it to show that Lestat is in control of the narrative now, and it’s no longer about Louis’s interview with journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).
Based on Anne Rice’s second novel in her Vampire Chronicles, Lestat chronicles his life from the 18th-century as a French aristocrat to the the 1980s, when the season is set. He’s resentful of how Louis portrayed him in Molloy’s bestselling book, Interview with the Vampire, so he wants to set the record straight, of course, in the most Lestat way—by becoming a rock star.
While on his multi-city tour, Lestat is haunted by “muses” from his past. As his band’s popularity and star power rises, his influence over vampires and humans rises, too, leaving others to deal with his wake in the face of the “Great Conversion,” an unnatural surge in the vampire population.
Based on what we know about the book and the trailers, which you can watch below, it’s going to be a very messy season—in every sense of the word.
And here’s an extended look at it if you want more:
While Reid, Anderson, Bogosian, Zaman and Delainey Hayles (Claudia) reprise their roles, Jennifer Ehle (Lioness, Zero Dark Thirty) joins as Gabriella, Ella Ballentine will be Baby Jenks, Jeanine Serralles (Apples Never Fall) will be Chrstine Claire, Christopher Heyerdahl (Under the Banner of Heaven) will be Marius and Damien Atkins will be Magnus.
It will likely be seven 60-minute episodes, according to amccontensales.com.
You can watch on AMC or stream it on AMC+.
