Ted Lasso takes on a new challenge: coaching a second division women’s football team.

After a hat-trick of hit seasons, Ted Lasso is back with season 4 this August!
Premiering on August 5, Ted will be back in Richmond this season to take on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.
“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” Apple TV says.
You can watch the new trailer here:
If you’ve been on the sidelines, Ted Lasso is an American college football coach who was unexpectedly recruited to coach an English Premier League soccer team, A.F.C. Richmond. The team’s owner, Rebecca Welton, intended to use Ted, who had no soccer experience, to destroy the team and get back at her ex-husband. But no one accounted for Ted’s folksy and optimistic leadership that would pave the way to wins—and a team worth keeping.
Its first season became the most Emmy Award-nominated comedy series and landed rare back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys for its first two seasons on air.
Once again starring and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Jason Sudeikis, the show will bring back Emmy Award-winner Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy Award-winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, alongside new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Keep your eye on the ball—Ted Lasso will debut season 4’s first episode on August 5, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through October 7.
