Believe it or not, movie theaters around the country are slowly gearing up to welcome film buffs again—albeit under a strict set of guidelines. Arguably the biggest release set to hit theaters this year—and one of the very few that hasn't gone straight-to-video or has been indefinitely postponed—is Christopher Nolan's Tenet, a thriller exploring a fictionally imminent World War III scheduled to drop in the United States on September 3.

If you're hoping to watch the movie at one of the many drive-in theaters that are popping up around the country, think again: Warner Bros. issued a directive to drive-in operators all around America allowing them to play the film outdoors only if indoor cinemas within the same market have already reopened. Which means that folks in Los Angeles and New York, for example, won't be able to catch the flick at all given their states' current guidelines.

That being said, about 80% of theaters across the country will eventually show the film. And so we figured, why not make things easy on you and make a list of all the cinemas that are already on board?

A note to consider: we're not endorsing any sort of potentially dangerous activity, even if it takes the form of a lawful movie attendance. We're just here to tell you about what you can do if you wish to. Needless to say, we do urge you to stay safe, wear a mask and practice social distancing no matter where you are.
