In line with the rideshare app's platform to become a zero emissions company by 2040, Uber is promoting its more eco-friendly ride options this April. And that means passengers save.
If Uber Comfort Electric is available, just tap and request a ride in a premium EV such as a Tesla, Polestar or Ford Mustang Mach-E. From April 11-30, you can get up to 25% (up to $10) off two Comfort Electric trips with the code GOELECTRIC.
Riders can also select eco-friendlier options like Uber Green, which costs the same as UberX, but prioritizes rides with fewer emissions in hybrid and electric vehicles. The Uber app also allows users to book Lime e-bikes and e-scooters in over 55 cities throughout the US & Canada.
Uber also partnered with bp to help with Uber's zero emissions goals and offer reliable, high-speed electric charging stations.
“Drivers on Uber’s platform need great value access to the fast, reliable charging infrastructure we’re building as they make the switch to electric," said Richard Bartlett, CEO at bp pulse in a news release. "We’re investing billions of dollars worldwide in high-speed EV charging, digital products and services, and large-scale bp pulse Gigahubs™ that will help commercial customers eliminate tailpipe emissions." The partnership will offer special access and deal to Uber drivers, to help encourage the use of EVs.
