The secret’s out: Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day is officially coming to Peacock.
Released in theaters on June 12, the sci-fi thriller—which features an all-star cast including Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo—drummed up tons of excitement for Spielberg fans, grossing $241 million worldwide.

“If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to eight billion people. We are coming close to ... Disclosure Day,” the logline reads.
More specifically, TV meteorologist (Blunt) and cybersecurity analyst (O'Connor) decide to share their proof that extraterrestrial life exists while trying to evade government contractor (Firth), who tries to prevent them from getting the secret out.

Disclosure Day will be available to stream on Peacock beginning on October 9, 2026.

Is Disclosure Day a good movie?
The film garnered an 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and only a 3 out of 5 stars on Time Out, with some viewers saying it didn’t live up to Spielberg’s usual sci-fi fare, i.e. E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
“Not a flat-out fizzer but definitely nowhere near the ludicrously high standards he’s set for himself,” Time Out’s Global Film Editor Phil de Semlyen says about Disclosure Day.
Regardless, Blunt and her co-stars have been praised for their work in the film, which makes it worth checking out—at least from your couch.
