50,000 free workout spots are up for grabs at rooftop, waterfront and outdoor classes across seven U.S. cities this summer.

If your ideal summer involves stretching under the skyline instead of sweating it out in a cramped studio, Lululemon has a pretty compelling offer: 50,000 free spots in outdoor yoga, pilates and sculpt classes across North America.
The athletic apparel brand has officially launched its Summer Series, a months-long lineup of community fitness events taking place in major cities through early September. Registration is already open and new classes are released on a rolling basis about two weeks before each event.
The series kicked off in New York on Monday night, when more than 250 people gathered atop Pier 17 for a sunset Pilates class led by Lululemon ambassador Shannon Nadj. After the workout came an unexpected cool-down: a live DJ set from Kaskade, turning a standard fitness event into something closer to a rooftop festival.
The rest of the summer promises more of the same energy, albeit without the surprise electronic music icon. Rather than focusing on traditional studio spaces, many of the classes will take place in scenic outdoor venues, like rooftops and waterfronts. Expect a mix of yoga, pilates and sculpt sessions led by well-known instructors, with an emphasis on accessibility rather than experience level. Beginners are just as welcome as seasoned yogis—as long as they remember to reserve a spot before classes fill up.
If you've spent the past few months telling yourself this is finally the summer you'll commit to a wellness routine, this may be the easiest place to start. After all, it's considerably harder to skip a workout when it comes with skyline views—and costs exactly zero dollars.
