Here's what we know about the reboot.

Nostalgia is about to hit big.
Malcolm in the Middle, the 2000s-era sitcom featuring an awkward kid and his often problematic but loving family, is back for a four-part series on Hulu, starting Friday.
As you might imagine, in Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, Malcolm (a full-grown man now played by Frankie Muniz) has been shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade, but now he's been pulled back in for a big celebration—his parents 40th anniversary.
Breaking the fourth wall already in the trailer (below), Malcolm tries to convince us everything is good:
"Yeah, I look different, but, hey, everything about me is different. I'm happy. I'm successful," he says. "My life is fantastic now. You want to know how I did it? All I had to do is stay completely away from my family."
Bryan Cranston is back as father Hal, Jane Kaczmarek as mother Lois, Chris Kennedy Masterson as brother Francis, Emy Coligado as his wife Piama and Justin Berfield middle brother Reese. New cast members will include Keeley Karsten (Leah, Malcolm’s daughter), Vaughan Murrae (Kelly, Malcolm’s youngest sibling), Kiana Madeira (Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend) and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark (as Dewey).
It's likely to hit the same notes as before since Linwood Boomer, who created the original series, is back as writer and executive producer. Cranston, Tracy Katsky (KatCo), Gail Berman and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann are executive producers. Ken Kwapis will direct all four episodes and executive produce.
All four episodes airs together on April 10 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
If you need a rewatch, all 151 episodes of Malcolm in the Middle are available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu, and there's a dedicated Malcolm in the Middle stream, "which brings a nonstop wild ride through all seven seasons of the original comedy," according to Hulu.
