Look, we're all for unexpected flavor mashups. Bacon and maple syrup? Yes, please. Cheddar and caramel? Chicago proves it can be done. It's why we're trying to keep an open mind about Pepsi's latest collaboration with everyone's least favorite Easter candy, Peeps.
The unlikely duo announced its partnership today, unveiling a marshmallow-flavored cola that's packaged in itty-bitty cans (okay, that part's actually kind of cute). To be fair, we're guessing that the beverage tastes a bit like vanilla Pepsi with an extra hit of sugary sweetness. Taste-testers at People describe the flavor as "vaguely reminiscent of Lucky Charms."
We should pause here to explain that you won't be able to find this disturbingly twisted soda at the grocery store. The incredibly limited-edition collaboration is being doled out via a social media sweepstakes. If you must know what Peeps-flavored Pepsi tastes like, you'll need to snap a photo of yourself enjoying your favorite springtime activity, share it on Twitter or Instagram, and tag it with #HangingWithMyPEEPS and #PepsiSweepstakes. Just, uh, don't get too close to your "peeps" and be sure to wear a mask if you're getting out and about.
Before we go, let's check in to see how Twitter is handling the news.

It looks like Peeps-flavored Pepsi is now a thing and now I'm definitely convinced our simulation is glitching...

I am adamantly pro-Peeps, but this is too much. I think my teeth just turned dust and fell out of my mouth at the mere thought of Peeps soda. https://t.co/f4hiI2DNk0
