The sharp-toothed icons of the sea will return to the small screen very soon.
Starting Sunday, July 26 at 8pm EST, Shark Week returns with 20 “jaw-dropping, blockbuster” premieres every night, “packed with pulse-pounding action, epic breaches, and high-stakes encounters,” according to Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Discovery Channel promises to enlighten us with stories on new technology and investigations as well as show off unbelievable stunts surrounding the world of sharks — “bringing audiences closer to their raw power and untamed nature like never before.”
“This year, we continue to raise the bar with a lineup that delivers glowing sharks, Jurassic giants, record-setting stunts...and even K-Pop,” says Joseph Boyle, Head of Content, Discovery Channel.
What does K-Pop have to do with sharks? Rei Ami of KPop Demon Hunters is teaming up with actor/comedian Ken Jeong for K-Pop Shark Heroes, a program aimed at changing perceptions of sharks in East Asia. These are two things we never thought we’d put in a sentence together.

K-Pop Shark Heroes
