Comedy specials can be hit or miss—humor is such a subjective thing that it's hard to find comedians who can make everyone laugh.
But this spring, a lot of comedy's best released stand-up specials that are largely crowd-pleasers, including Taylor Tomlinson, Marcello Hernández, Jeff Ross and Pete Holmes. Other favorites, like Trevor Noah and Ramy Youssef have new specials coming out this month, too, so we included them in this list of best new standup specials you can stream.

Known as the "Roastmaster General" for his iconic celebrity roasts, Jeff Ross made his Broadway debut for this Netflix special. He turns the spotlight on himself in a one-man show that is as heartfelt as it is hilarious, according to the streamer. It's earned a 6.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

Pete Holmes, who has specials reaching back as far as 2011 and written and starred in TV shows like Crashing and The Pete Holmes Show, unpacks scorpion bites suffered abroad, reflects on unlucky elevator superstitions and explains how Harry Potter might actually hold a few surprising clues about the meaning of life, according to 800 Pound Gorilla, which produced the show. It's got a 3.5 out of 5 on LetterBoxd.
