She was always worthy of a spin-off—and now she’s getting one.
Hilary Banks, Will Smith’s fabulously dressed cousin from the classic '90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and its modern-day revival Bel-Air on Peacock, is getting her own show, according to Deadline.

Starring Coco Jones (Vampires vs. the Bronx, Malcom D.), the new show will give Hilary a different future than the Bel-Air series set out for her, one more in line with what happens in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Rather than moving back to L.A. to launch a cafe, Hilary will instead move to the Big Apple, New York City.
As per Deadline, “Hilary accepts an unexpected job offer from celebrity chef Yvonne Durand in New York and is determined to prove herself beyond her Bel-Air connections — only to find that success, friendship and love in the city come with a cost she never anticipated.”
Tracy Oliver, known for Girls Trip and Harlem, is writing the series, and Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is producing it it.
Bel-Air is a reimagining of the 1990s sitcom based on Morgan Cooper’s short fan film, starring Jabari Banks (as Will), Adrian Holmes (Uncle Phil), Cassandra Freeman (Aunt Viv), Olly Sholotan (Carlton), Coco Jones (Hilary), Akira Akbar (Ashley), Jimmy Akingbola (Geoffrey), Jordan L. Jones (Jazz), and Simone Joy Jones (Lisa).
It finished its fourth and final season in December, but the Fresh Prince universe will now live on through Hilary.
