American travelers may think of traveling overseas for premium architecture, but some of the most admirable (and photo-ready) buildings in the world are right here in the continental United States.

According to Instagram-sourced data by Compare the Market, America is home to some of the top Instagrammable buildings in the world. And unsurprisingly, all of these buildings are homes, estates and compounds with very famous owners.

At the top of the list is Graceland, Elvis Presley's former residence in Memphis. The mansion is now one of Tennessee's most popular tourist attractions and welcomes over 500,000 visitors a year. In other words, it's the second most famous home in America following The White House in Washington D.C. (ranked as the third most Instagrammable building stateside, but we'll blame security for that). The property's been open for public tours since June 1982 and has inspired over 518,000 Instagram posts.

In second place on Instagram-ability is Mount Vernon, George Washington's home in Virginia. Following the White House in third place is Biltmore Estate, George Washington Vanderbilt II’s house in Asheville, North Carolina. Known as the largest home in America, this Châteauesque Gilded Age mansion in the Blue Ridge Mountains now offers a luxury hotel, is home to a working winery and is the site of many lavish events.

Other ranked homes on the list include Hearst San Simeon Estate, William Randolph Hearst's compound in San Simeon, California; and Paisley Park, Prince’s private estate and production studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Those looking for more casual Instagram posts (that is, not ticketed), can also swing by some of the top addresses in America noted from film and TV. A few recognizable addresses include A Christmas Story's house in Cleveland, Ohio at 3159 W 11th St; Hocus Pocus' house at 318 Essex St in Salem, Massachusetts; and the Home Alone house at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois.
