Spooky season is in full swing. And that means everyone you know and everyone you probably should have unfollowed when you broke up with your ex five Halloweens ago has posted from a pumpkin patch in the last month or so.

And while pumpkin patches are pretty much ubiquitous across America, many of these squash-filled fields are more popular than their agricultural counterparts.

A new study by Strawberry Shortcake (in honor of the pink heroine's new Halloween Special, Strawberry Shortcake and the Beast of Berry Bog) looked at over 100 pumpkin patches across the United States to determine which are the most popular, based on searches and social media presence.

In first place, Cox Farms in Centreville, Virginia. Located in Fairfax County, Cox Farms is Google's most searched for pumpkin patch, is a popular hashtag and space to post from on TikTok and Instagram, and has been hosting a fall festival since 1985 (long before its Internet fame). On Fridays and Saturdays, Cox Farms also hosts an open air haunted house, Fields of Fear, which includes a haunted "cornightmare" maze, a scream-filled walk through the woods complete with chainsaws, spiders and witchery; plus much more to totally spook guests.

A little less scary is the second-place pumpkin patch on the list, Linvilla Orchards in Media, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. Linvilla Orchards offers free admission, plus pick your own apples and more fruits, hay rides, strawberry bale and corn mazes, hayrides under the autumn moon and much more.

The third most popular pumpkin patch is Spring Haven Farm in Chapel Hill, NC; followed by Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, CA; and Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, CT.

The study also ranks the most popular corn mazes, with the top spot belonging to Happy Day Farm in New Jersey. Hosting the most popular corn maze in the U.S., Happy Day Farm's latest rendition is a 10-acre Barbie-themed corn maze
