Ready to get underway on your trips now that the holidays are decidedly over? This new list from Tripadvisor, featuring The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Destination Awards, should help you pick a spot. These are cities that others have booked and will be hopping to in 2023. Along with the trending destinations list, the company has also given awards in the category of Most Popular Destinations and the Destinations Best Suited for Lovers of Food, Nature, Culture and Skiing.

A few takeaways: long-haul travel has made a comeback, and Americans are booking trips to Asia and the Pacific for the first time in a few years (Asia is taking half of the top 20 spots of trending destinations for the world). Other places that are drawing visitors are Alaska, Cuba and the favored but somewhat-spurned-during-the-pandemic cities of Paris and London.

For those who are looking to visit the top trending destinations in the U.S. for 2023, here’s the list to get your itinerary in motion. From colder climes to deserts to the midwest and even a super spooky city, this list is wonderfully varied.
