You landed successfully, grabbed your bags and confirmed a ride out of the airport. But where's the car? The clock is counting down until your driver departs, but spot 3H in the third LL of the blue north parking garage is nowhere to be found. Uber drivers and passengers are all too familiar with the phenom, and Uber is finally doing something about it.
On March 7, Uber announced new airport features to help travelers find and book their rides, especially away from home. Newly launched features include the much-needed directions to pick up. Step-by-step instructions in the Uber app will help travelers through the airport with detailed instructions on how to get from the gate to the Uber pick-up area. The wayfinder will be available at over 30 airports worldwide including JFK, LGA, EWR, LAX, SFO, DCA, ORD, DFW, MIA, ATL, YYZ and more.
Want to know when to call your Uber? The updated feature also helps with walking ETAs, so you can plan how long it will take to walk to baggage claim and accurately request your Uber ride. This feature is available at more than 400 airports around the world.
