The new limited sketch series is only seven episodes, but it's got major star power.

Larry David and President Barack Obama have teamed up for an original limited sketch comedy series—yes, you read that right.
Written and executive produced by Larry David (Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm), Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America was filmed in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. It was co-created and directed by Jeff Schaffer and executive produced by Obama, Michelle Obama, Ethan Lewis and Vinnie Malhotra for Higher Ground, the media company founded by the Obamas.
“I have sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of the globe’s most intractable problems,” Obama says in a teaser video. “Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.”

Now, here’s what we know about the show that’s coming to HBO Max.
According to HBO’s log line, “President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion...but then Larry David called.”
If we take anything from the its V-J Day sketch, it’ll be totally irreverent and very Larry.
Commenters on YouTube say it’s a time-traveling version of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Friday, June 26, at 9 pm EST/PST. New episodes will debut weekly leading up to the season finale on August 7.
