'Big Little Lies' begins with a school drop-off scene — and any parent would be racing back home to enjoy this palatial spread now for sale in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

As reported by the Evening Standard, the home was used as a set in the HBO series (and also in the classic upskirt movie ‘Basic Instinct'!). The house is perched above the photogenic seacoast not far from Pebble Beach’s famed golf course. Listed at $32,535,000 and known as the Lodge at Spindrift, the home is set on two acres with meandering pathways and has undergone beautiful renovations to the tune of several million dollars in the last few years. It’s 12,100 square feet of Hollywood-worthy architecture and views.

The modern kitchen has a medieval looking oven, pendant lights, a butcher block counter and an impressive wine fridge in the distance

With its own spread in Architectural Digest, this six-bedroom home has three floors with a gourmet kitchen with a Hansel and Gretel oven as well as a secondary kitchen (for cooking leftovers?), a circular bulb-out glass breakfast room with sea views, a pebble-walled bathroom, huge living room, gym and sauna. Also, the wine fridge? It’s the size of your local AM/PM’s cooler wall.

The two-story library boasts a spiral staircase and domed ceiling (and we’re thinking Lian Moriarty’s ouevre must be included in the collections, since she's the author of Big Little Lies).

Two levels of the library are joined by a modern wood and metal spiral staircase.

Outside, the pool, waterfalls and hot tub are in a private courtyard surrounded by the home and a high wall.

There’s also a standalone greenhouse. Follow a pathway down to the fire pit atop a craggy clifftop where you can look for whales and inhale the sea air of one of the prettiest coastlines in the US.

Asymetric rooflines and interesting angles, along with a glassed promenade, would make this home a stunner even if the ocean wasn’t right there framed by windswept cypress trees. As it is, you won’t have to tell lies, big or little, about how beautiful your home is.

The rectangular firepit is surrounded by Adirondack chairs and is atop a cliff overlooking craggy coastline and deep blue water.
