In a pretty major collab, the Mouse is joining forces with Netflix to deliver some of its popular TV shows and movies.

According to Variety, Disney is licensing some of its titles to the streamer to drum up interest in upcoming releases, appeal to a broader audience to boost their visibility, and, duh, generate millions in incremental revenue. And Netflix is all too happy to add more content, especially an iconic brand like Disney.

So what does the new partnership mean? Well, it means you won't necessarily need Disney+ to enjoy the following:

  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians (seasons 1-2) for three months, in advance of its season 3 premiere on Disney+ on November 20
  • Ice Age (2002), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016) for three months ahead of Ice Age: Boiling Point, which is being released in theaters on February 5, 2027.
  • Will Trent (seasons 1-4) as of November 3, ahead of its season 5 premiere in early 2027
  • Shifting Gears (seasons 1-2) as of December 1, ahead of its season 3 premiere in early 2027
  • Tracker (seasons 1-3) as of February 26, 2027. (Season 4 premiered on CBS on October 4.)
  • Soul (early 2027)
  • Elio (early 2027)
  • Raya and the Last Dragon (early 2027)
  • Felicity as of October 7
  • Revenge
  • Army Wives
  • Fresh Off the Boat
  • This Is Us

These join fellow beloved Disney titles including Grey’s Anatomy, Arrested Development, Scandal and Black-ish, which were already on Netflix. Of course, the above titles will still be available to watch on Disney+ and Hulu, as well.

In an era of ever-increasing streaming costs, it's nice to have options and not have to purchase yet another streaming service to enjoy a specific show or movie!
