Blnd Tgr

What to order: Sichuan-style zhong dumplings

Blnd Tgr is not your ordinary dumpling shop. The globe-trotting menu celebrates China’s diverse cuisine in the form of piping hot parcels that take inspiration from Jiangsu, Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines. Bite into the lip-tingling zhong dumplings cooked in an aromatic sauce made in-house and spiked with chilli oil and you’ll feel transported to Shanghai, where good food can be found down every neon-lit alleyway.

Kishimoto

What to order: Oshi Sushi

Championing premium produce from local farmers, Kishimoto’s kitchen crafts authentic Japanese fare with a local twist. Order dishes like the salmon oshi (torch-seared wild salmon, creamy sauce, cracked black pepper, jalapeno sauce) or the spicy tuna oshi (chopped tuna, spicy sauce, yuzu miso and yuzu zest on top of deep fried rice). Can't decide? Opt for the tasting plate.

España

What to order: Paella

The mighty menu at España has brought a taste of Spain to Vancouver for close to a decade, under the expert guidance of owner Edward Perrow. The rotating and seasonally-led lineup ensures they’re never stuck in one place – but from all around the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. The paella is as mouth-watering as it is memorable, and while the flavours change out regularly it’s always a hit (and worth returning for).

Peacock

What to order: Lamb popsicles

One of Vancouver’s most acclaimed (and celebrity-adored) chefs, Chef Vikram Vij’s modern Indian menu has been packing out his Cambie Street restaurant for over 30 years. He brings a new venture to Time Out Market Vancouver with Peacock, serving all his favourite flavours from India with some modern embellishment. Every dish is as beautifully presented as it is tasty, made from locally sourced ingredients that are hard to beat.

MaKaam

What to order: Pad Thai

Western and Eastern ingredients meet in the middle at MaKaam, guided by the skillful hands of chef-owner Nutcha Phanthoupheng. After training under a Michelin-starred chef and the former chef to the King of Thailand, Nutcha became certified at the world-renowned Blue Elephant and brought her expertise to Vancouver. The modern, artisan menu at Time Out Market Vancouver serves up inventive dishes including the signature tamarind pad Thai with aged water buffalo Gouda from a cheese master at Langley’s Academy Farms.
