Vancouver just got a whole new playground.

Oakridge Park has officially opened its doors, unveiling what developers are calling Canada's largest redevelopment project.

The massive 28-acre destination transforms the former Oakridge Centre site into a sprawling hub for shopping, dining, culture and community events in the heart of the city.

Located at 650 West 41st Avenue, Oakridge Park debuts with more than 100 brands spread across 650,000 square feet of retail space. Luxury heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, Loewe, Moncler and Rolex are joined by familiar favourites including Aritzia and Sephora.

What makes this NOT just another shopping mall?

One of the biggest draws is the newly opened Time Out Market Vancouver, which brings together 18 of the city's most celebrated chefs, restaurants and food concepts under one roof.

Expect everything from DownLow Chicken and Via Tevere to Kishimoto, Lunch Lady, Heritage Asian Eatery, Beaucoup Bakery Café and PiDGiN.

Public art by locals and internationals you need to see

The opening also marks the debut of a major public art program designed to make Oakridge Park feel more like a cultural destination than a retail complex.

Visitors can explore large-scale works from local and international artists, including Musqueam artist Diamond Point, Vancouver artist Brian Jungen and internationally acclaimed South Korean artist Haegue Yang.

Interactive installations, a digital “living canvas,” glass artworks from renowned Czech design company Lasvit and a suspended Sky Stage featuring live performances are all part of the experience.

Events you’ll want to be at every week

And there’s more to come.

Oakridge Park says it will host year-round events focused on food, fashion, wellness, jewellery and holiday celebrations, adding another major gathering space to Vancouver’s cultural calendar.

After years of construction, one of the city’s most anticipated developments is finally here, and we’re pumped.
