God bless the Holy Drinker (as the name translates) for its 20-plus beers on tap, invitingly divey atmosphere, and cicchetti starting at €1 apiece, all on road less traveled in Cannaregio. There’s no muss or fuss here, just cheap eats, fairly priced beer and mixed drinks in a typical pub setting. The selection of draft beers rotates regularly, and the fridge is stocked with just about every other beer you can imagine. On a hot summer day, this is a great place to chill out.
Time Out tip: Look for the selection of Trappist beers on draught—brewed by monks in one of only 11 monasteries in the world.
