L’Enfant Plaza Hotel

A large opulent hotel in an unusual south of the Mall location that is close to the Capitol. There are great views from the balconies but the business-heavy area largely shuts down at night. That said, the hotel goes out of its way to welcome families: children under 18 stay in parents’ rooms for free, and pets are allowed in deluxe rooms only for a fee of $25. Business travellers are also very well catered for, and the seasonal, heated rooftop swimming pool is perfect for downtime
