Just blocks from the Capitol and Union Station, this former Holiday Inn was transformed into an Affinia hotel, complete with contemporary rooms and the chain’s pillow menu. During the summer the rooftop swimming pool and sundeck offer up sweeping views of the city’s skyline. Downstairs is Art and Soul, a Southern-food restaurant by Oprah favorite Art Smith.
