Marriott Wardman Park

A huge and labyrinthine hotel perched on a hill near the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro stop. If you get lost (as you inevitably will), ask the friendly staff, who seem to be everywhere. Although the 1918 building is gorgeous and surrounded by luscious greenery, the larger wing of the complex is monolithic and lacks character. Expect to see weddings or conferences here; the hotel has extensive facilities for the latter.
