With just 86 guestrooms—about a third of which are executive suites—the Ritz’s Georgetown property is more intimate than its Foggy Bottom sister hotel. Located near the Potomac River waterfront, the hotel is housed in a renovated red-brick building with a 130ft smokestack. The industrial architecture makes a striking backdrop for the chic modern furnishings. Some rooms have views of Downtown and the river. The building also houses a cinema, spa and coffee shop, as well as a restaurant (Fahrenheit) and martini lounge (Degrees). The upmarket neighborhood is not near the Metro, but there’s plenty going on in the area to keep you entertained.
