Sandy Point State Park

The site of a pre-Civil War resort, the park has a mile-long beach and offers the chance to swim, fish, go crabbing, rent a rowboat or motorboat (call the marina for prices and availability, 1-410 974 2772), have a picnic, or hike along nature trails. But maybe the best attraction is watching traffic back up on the Bay Bridge. For those not interested in this perverse pleasure, there are sailing regattas and sea-bound ships to ogle.
