Washington’s one-time answer to Harlem’s Apollo Theater, this magnificent structure is most often the site of neo-"Chitlin Circuit" theater. The underused Lincoln is frequently dark, but over the years it has hosted Paul Weller, King Sunny Ade and the Smithsonian Jazz Orchestra.
