The 15-Ton Sound Bath at BERHTA turns the idea of a sound bath into something much more immersive. Guests recline beneath a massive sound and light system, with the experience built around deep bass, shifting light, scent and body position rather than anything you need to actively do. Sessions are limited to 18 people, and phones and conversation are off the table once it begins, making this a rare chance to spend more than an hour genuinely disconnected from D.C.'s usual pace. The contrast is part of the appeal: BERHTA is better known for nightlife, but here the same serious sound technology is being used for something much quieter. Arrive early, settle into a zero-gravity chair and let the room do the work. If meditation has never held your attention, this is a more immersive way to try switching off.
