Full Moon Nights

Full Moon Nights at Moonraker is a good excuse to trade the usual rooftop routine for something a little more curious. The monthly gathering takes its cue from the Japanese tradition of Tsukimi, pairing the full moon with guided telescope viewing from the rooftop. There are also birth chart readings from DC’s Luv Collective, a live DJ and passed light bites, so the evening moves between looking up at the sky and settling into the social side of the night. The waterfront setting helps, but the telescope is what gives this one a reason to exist beyond cocktails with a view. At $65, it is also more of an experience than a standard night out at a rooftop bar. If you like your plans with a little astronomy and astrology mixed in, this is a refreshing change of pace.
