The "coast" of the name refers not just to the Atlantic but also the West and Gulf Coasts. It’s a pretty wide net to cast, but the brains behind DC Coast—and they are brains, the creators of several of Washington’s hottest dining spots—have found a way to integrate Southern, Southwestern and even Pacific Rim influences on the menu in their cavernous, well-appointed dining room. Soy sauce and tabasco share space in the kitchen; bok choy and bacon both grace the tables. The busy, businessy crowd eats it all up with gusto. Reservations recommended.
