Time Out says

This brash and often-brilliant company has been pushing boundaries (both theatrical and personal) for a quarter-century, most recently in a superb $7-million, 265-seat Downtown home. Notable playwrights who’ve called Woolly home include Six Feet Under scribe Craig Wright, Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl (The Clean House) and that poet of neurosis, Nicky Silver. In the pipeline at the time of writing was Stupid Fucking Bird, an irreverent, contemporary remix of Chekhov’s The Seagull, directed by Woolly artistic director Howard Shalwitz.
