Time Out says

The Navy Memorial’s summer concert series takes a vocal turn on August 25, with the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters filling the Plaza with everything from sea chanteys and patriotic material to Broadway, opera and contemporary songs. That range is what makes this a worthwhile Tuesday night detour: you’re not signing up for a narrowly themed military performance, but a polished vocal program with plenty of room to surprise. The outdoor setting also gives the evening a more relaxed feel than a formal concert hall, while the memorial’s granite plaza makes for a distinctive backdrop. Best of all, admission is free, so there’s little reason not to stop by if you’re already downtown. Arrive early if you want a good seat, then settle in for an hour of unusually versatile live vocals.
