Lunchtime in the Park

A midday reset in the middle of downtown, Lunchtime in the Park turns a routine lunch break into an open-air gathering at Franklin Park. The summer series invites workers, residents, and visitors to step away from screens and take advantage of the park’s lawns, shade, and city views while enjoying a slower pace. Each Wednesday, the space comes alive with live jazz, lawn games, table tennis, and casual activities that encourage conversation and connection without the usual rush of a workday. Presented by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District, the program runs throughout June and July, creating a recurring reason to trade the desk for fresh air and a picnic-style afternoon in the heart of Washington, DC.
