Shake Shack is going German again. For its own take on Oktoberfest, er “Shacktoberfest,” the burger bastion will serve a Germanic menu for the ninth consecutive year. From October 3–12, you'll find three types of juicy bratwurst, massive beers and sweet apple-strudel shakes on the menu.
Head to any of the chain's locations—except those in ballparks, airports and overseas—to nosh on Schaller & Weber bratwursts (the flavor options are Bavarian, curry or bacon-cheddar for $4.95), or a sausage-smothered burger layered with beer-marinated fried shallots and, of course, Shack’s secret sauce ($7.50).
You’ll be able to wash down all the meaty goodness with 25 ounces of Brooklyn Oktoberfest in a commemorative stein for $10. In true beer-fest fashion, refill your jumbo mug for $7.
Desserts have also been given a Deutschland-style twist: German chocolate concretes are swirled with coconut-walnut caramel and a chocolate truffle cookie dough ($4.30), and the Apelstrudel shake spins vanilla custard with apples, caramel and a pinch of baking spice ($5.75).
