Wine bar by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy coming to Brooklyn

Celebrities have been opening restaurants since time immemorial, and now it's taking a slightly more terroir turn with Williamsburg wine bar, the Four Horseman, courtesy of former LCD Soundsystem frontman and noted gourmand James Murphy. Set to open in June, the bar will reportedly feature small plates and up to 350 selections of wine, a list inspired by Murphy's extended forays through Paris, London, and Copenhagen, to name a few. But if that sounds like an idea scored by Murphy’s hit single “Losing My Edge”, the musician was quick to point out in The New York Times that his joint will be more “radical” than your everyday wine bar.

In what may soon be a trend for Brooklyn bars, Murphy’s announcement comes on the heels of the opening of Givers and Takers, a post-show, after-party Gowanus spot backed by Mumford and Sons' keyboardist Ben Lovett. Now we're curious as to who else will be next to hop on this gravy train—an Ariana Grande oyster bar in Park Slope? A Bieberesque beer hall in Crown Heights? One can only hope.
