Now in new, more spacious premises with (gasp!) outside tables (or at least chairs), the 'dirty old man' (an affectionate Roman nickname that became official with the move) serves up Rome's best pizza bianca ripiena - which, as a sign explains, is 'White Pizza With Any Thing You Like Inside'. Fillings range from classics like prosciutto and mozzarella to exotic combinations such as brie, grilled aubergine and rocket. Pay at the till for a standard slab (€3); then join the receipt-waving hordes to get served - and draw inspiration from what regulars are ordering as you wait.
