When via Veneto was in the midst of its famed dolce vita heyday, Café de Paris was the epicentre of laid-back cool. Here you could be served in your jeans - which was quite something in those days - and eavesdrop on the paparazzi as they badmouthed their prey. But times, unfortunately, have changed: the via Veneto is strictly for tourists and this is just another rather bland café. Nonetheless, there's an English tea hour for the homesick, and in the evenings you can sup at the wine bar in the refurbished interior.
