Ar Galletto review

You don't need to pay the inflated prices charged by other restaurants around here for a ringside view of piazza Farnese. Humbler than the competition, and Roman to its marrow, Ar Galletto has tables on the square in summer. The food is firmly in the local tradition, but dishes like penne all'arrabbiata, spaghetti alle vongole or abbacchio scottadito (grilled ribs of lamb) are appetising and - for the location - well priced. The only downside is the fact that this lot are Lazio supporters - hence all the sky-blue regalia in the busy main dining room. But nobody's perfect.
