Today, News 12 New York announces its new editorial partnership with Time Out New York to produce captivating content for audiences of both local New York media companies who are craving food recommendations and insights on local restaurants and chefs.

The collaboration will feature a monthly Local Eats segment hosted by Time Out New York Editor Shaye Weaver that will amplify the stories behind local restaurants by sharing how they’re serving the community, what customers should try on their menu, and more. This segment will be produced by and air exclusively on News 12 New York beginning in September. Both brands will also work together on a weekly ‘News 12 New York X Time Out Local Eats’ “Weekend Top Picks” list featuring where locals eat, airing weekends on News 12 New York. To help maximize awareness and viewership amongst both viewing audiences, News 12 New York and Time Out New York will cross-promote across their digital platforms.

“News 12 New York is thrilled to be partnering with a beloved local brand like Time Out New York, highlighting great content that supports our commitment to bring the best of the best news and lifestyle content to our hyper-local viewing audiences,” said Kristin Malasapina, SVP, Chief Content Officer for News 12.

“Time Out New York does a wonderful job serving up where to go and what to eat through their editorial lens, making their content a natural fit for News 12 New York’s audience who are seeking guidance on what local restaurants to support,” said Audrey Gruber, VP News & Assistant GM for News 12.

“We are excited to be collaborating with News 12 New York and extending Time Out New York’s ‘best of the city’ curated content to their audience. As partners, we share our mission to celebrate local chefs and restaurants and we are looking forward to sharing our recommendations and insights across our own digital channels and News 12 New York channels.” said Will Gleason, Content Director, Americas at Time Out New York.
