Time Out says

If you're burnt out by the Museum District, you can do far worse than recover at this smart locals' café set back from the main road. Although it calls itself a 'real brown bar', styling is sleek, colourful and modern. Food is far from old fashioned, with griddled veg and chorizo putting in regular appearances. If you don't make a night of it here, Rembrandt- and Leidseplein are both within walking distance.
