The country's most famous club is renowned worldwide for flair on the field and its excellent youth training programme. Although success isn't guaranteed, they're typically there (or thereabouts) and battles with main rivals Feyenoord and PSV are fought fiercely each season in the gladiatorial ArenA - and sometimes out of it. In July, some of the world's biggest teams are invited to take part in the Amsterdam Tournament.
