4. All Nippon Airways

Another Star Alliance airline that’s preferred for long-haul flights to Asia is All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline. ANA is based in Tokyo and operates 240 passenger jets to over 80 international routes and more than 115 domestic routes.

It's also known for its exceptional service, top-notch meals (featuring delicious Korean staples), and exceptional comfort. In fact, it has one of the most generous economy class seat pitches – perhaps a dealbreaker for those who want as much room as possible on long-haul flights. On these accounts, Korean Air emerged as the Airline of the Year 2025 in AirlineRatings.com's World's Best Airlines Awards 2025. The airline has also maintained its 5-star rating from Skytrax for five years running.
